Position: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Toronto, ON

Description: The Supply Chain Manager will have the responsibility of running our logistics and order fulfillment areas. They will ensure that Kobo delivers on its promises to customers, retail partners, and other key stakeholders. Reporting into the Director, Supply Chain Management, the successful candidate will have the responsibility to provide our global customers and partners with excellent support and service. He/She will also manage the Kobo Logistics partners with focus on cost and service performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team responsible for all activities related to Order Fulfilment
  • Manage and own Kobo Global Logistics and drive success with our global partners
  • Establish and develop strategies and relationships with our global customers
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with third party logistics contracts, in alignment and support of the business targets and financial goals of the company
  • Track and report on logistics KPI’s and deliverables
  • Work with Legal to negotiate Master Service Agreements and SOWs
  • Manage logistics spend to achieve cost effective delivery of goods
  • Utilize our systems and tools to improve the flow of communication across the complete supply chain
  • Manage and lead the team to ensure OTD and order Fill KPI’s are achieved
  • Important member of the team focused on enhancing and developing our global B2C operations

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of supply chain and logistics experience, preferably in a consumer electronics or high-tech industry
  • Post-secondary education focused on Supply Chain Management or Engineering preferred
  • CPIM designation preferred; P.log, CPP, CSCP, FITT also considered
  • Previous experience in negotiating
  • Previous experience in B2C operations
  • SAP and or like ERP system experience an asset
  • Proven success in managing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and ensuring lines of communication remain open and in good standing
  • Procurement and contract business management experience
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • You thrive in a lightning-fast environment with tight timelines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed in order to speak to contacts in different time zones
  • Possesses a combination of working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy
