Position: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Toronto, ON

Description: The Supply Chain Manager will have the responsibility of running our logistics, order fulfillment (B2B and B2C) and receiving areas. Ensuring that Kobo delivers on its promises to customers, retail partners, and other key stakeholders. Reporting into the Sr. Director, Global Supply Chain Management, the focus will be on ensuring strong and continued communication with our electronics product and 3rd party logistics companies, and delivering consistent cost effective results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop supplier strategies and relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with third party logistics contracts, exceeding requirements of the business targets and financial goals of the company
  • Manage relationships with vendors
  • Track and report on supply agreement milestones and deliverables
  • Work with Legal to negotiate Master Service Agreements and SOWs
  • Develop and implement supply chain models for both new and future products, analyzing complex options and the competitive landscape
  • Manage logistics spend to achieve cost effective delivery of goods
  • Work with our carriers to ensure on time deliveries, and these movements are compliant with the local laws
  • Manage and maintain Incoterms and customer routing guides
  • Maintain supply chain systems as required to support the business
  • Manage e-waste and repair product lines, cost per repair targets, understanding key cost drivers
  • Work to enhance and develop our global B2C operations within cost targets

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of supply chain and logistics experience, preferably in a consumer electronics or high-tech industry
  • Post-secondary education focused on Supply Chain Management or Engineering
  • CPIM designation preferred; CITP|FIBP, P.log, CPP, CSCP also considered
  • Previous experience in negotiations
  • Previous experience in B2C operations
  • SAP and or like ERP system experience an asset
  • Strong management relationship skills, as it relates to vendor relationships, and ensuring lines of communication remain open and in good standing
  • Procurement and contract business management experience
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment working within tight timelines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed in support of different time zones
  • Ability to travel globally as required
  • Possesses a combination of working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy
