Position: Global Logistics Manager

Location: St. Louis, MO

Description: Persons employed in the Global Logistics Manager position are responsible for International Transportation, Warehousing, Logistics, and Inventory Control Management, concentrating on global partners, which include, but are not limited to; Work Order Processing, inventory management, import/export functions, and some logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all international logistics for CTL shipments – customs clearance, duties, transportation
  • Review and define export and international documents, country requirements and regulations
  • Product / Commodity classification
  • Establish an Export Compliance program for the company, work with Legal and Compliance
  • Overall management of Orders from order entry to delivery
  • Manage inventory levels for stock, VMI, and min/max on a global basis
  • Provide feedback to appropriate departments on meeting customer requirements
  • Effectively manage usage levels to meet customer orders and minimize company risk
  • Work with other departments to ensure proper processes
  • Manage relationship with third party vendors and 3PL providers globally
  • Develop, improve, and monitor reporting processes
  • Make recommendations to management regarding improvements in the control processes to better enable the company to be efficient, cut costs and improve cycles to customers
  • Monthly reporting metrics

Skills and Qualifications:

  • College degree in international business, logistics, and/or supply chain management
  • Experience in International Logistics and Transportation
  • Import/Export and customs experience
  • International order processing and shipping experience
  • Understanding of duties, taxes, VAT, GST, etc.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and solve issues
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, and Microsoft Windows programs
  • Capable of multitasking between multiple order notifications and vendors
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Preferred

  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Experience with SAP/Vantive or other ERP systems
  • Approachable demeanor with professional, relationship-building skills
  • Flexible schedule – global time differences
