Position: Fulfillment Management Consultant

Location: San Jose, CA

Description: Dell is looking for a Fulfillment Management Consultant to manage returns and reverse logistics, as well as order fulfillment, warehousing needs and 3PL service level agreements. They will also provide support for regional centers and Free Trade Zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage the RMA fulfillment, RMA refurbishment centers and the reverse logistics requirements to meet company needs globally. and provide support for the regional centers, including areas of Free Trade Zones.
  • Responsible for managing global Order Fulfillment and warehousing functions, ensuring that 3PL service level agreements are met or exceeded
  • Develops complex solutions to business problems or customer engagements through in-depth analysis, coordination and negotiations with key decision makers
  • Evaluate compatibility of current logistics and warehousing provider and provide recommended solutions to keep up with dynamic business needs
  • Leads and drives cost and compliance initiatives
  • Manages large scale outsourced Fulfillment & Logistics providers
  • Drives and leads regional project management
  • Drives KPI and Metric setting
  • Drive freight cost and space negotiations
  • Manage in-bound and out-bound logistics for finished systems
  • Track carrier performance (i.e. promptness, load quality)
  • Ensure that performance expectations for external providers are clearly communicated,reinforced, measured and met
  • Responsible for exception situations regarding expedited services needed by Supply Planning Team
  • Influences a broad spectrum of stakeholders toward achieving business goals
  • Builds consensus and ensures understanding of technical matters by non-technical, executive decision makers
  • Develops standards around which others will operate
  • Designs and develops global processes, systems and/or applications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • 10+ years experience in local and global logistics and warehouse management required, with import/export knowledge
  • Experience transitioning regional fulfillment centers
  • Experience implementing and managing fulfillment centers within free trade zones and different regional fulfillment centers.
  • International travel  0-10%
  • Proven track record of managing projects independently
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with various team members, suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional team in all levels of the company
  • Ability to work with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business and provide strategies to meet company goals
  • Able to work effectively across a region

Preferences:

  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus
  • Experience with free trade zones in Taiwan is also a strong plus
