Job Description:

GBC International Bank is currently looking for a Commercial Banking Officer. GBC International Bank has been ranked among the nation’s top 5 lenders by the Export-Import Bank of the United States and is a preferred lender with the SBA.

GBC International Bank tailors domestic and international financial solutions for international trade, commercial real estate financing, business and personal banking services, resulting in long-term client relationships.

The bank is headquartered in Los Angeles, with 8 branch offices in California and Washington State. This full-time position will be located at the San Jose, CA office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist marketing team in all facets of growing and managing a loan portfolio;
  • Loan origination emphasis will be on commercial real estate, export finance and SBC guaranteed loans;
  • Effectively acquire and grow profitable account relationships with moderately complex business customers and real estate investors/owners;
  • Conduct effective financial analysis and underwriting in the areas of credit, cash flow and collateral;
  • Cohesively partner with GBC employees and business lines to deliver exemplary customer service of the full complement of GBC products and offerings;
  • Knowledge of EXIM Bank and SBA loan products, a plus.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of business banking, real estate and credit-related experience;
  • Demonstrated sales experience, negotiation skills, portfolio management skills and accounting and/or financial acumen;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Proficient commercial credit writing experience.
